Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) This Week?

Ever since a human-sized Gingerbread man arrived at Google HQ, there have been rumours regarding when Android 2.3 (nicknamed Gingerbread) will arrive.

According to this tweet from Alvaro Fuentes Vasquez who is on the leadership team of the Open Handset Alliance (OHA) – one of the governing bodies backing Android – we may see Android 2.3 sometime this week for Nexus One owners.

Some people believe November 11th is the date … that’s this Thursday. Can’t wait to see what new features have been added!
